Buffalo Springs Lake

Welcome to Buffalo Springs Lake. Charlie and I went to a bonfire cookout Friday night, held by his co-workers. Charlie forgot to tell me it was a "male-bonding" thing. So, I was the only female there. It was a ton of fun!

Did I mention it is also a Golf Course?

This is the view from the front of our camp site. Isn't it beautiful?

This is the view from behind our camp site. Pretty, huh?

Charlie is helping set up one of the many Barb-B-Que's for the evenings festivities.

Isn't this place gorgeous? I envy the people who live here.

Charlie posing for the camera.

Me looking shiny, but fabulous, right? :-P

In this picture, is a Tree. Ohhh, Ahhh...
Tree's are rare and endangered in this part of Texas.

This is Charlie's twin brother, Tim.

We had a nice fire, great food, and lots to drink.

I love fire pictures. Nature is beautiful. There were a lot of other pictures taken, but Charlie has just informed me that "what happens at Buffalo, stays at Buffalo. We do not post pictures." So, sorry people, all you get to see are the nature shots.

But, I did make a friend while I was there. I call him Samson. He has the most beautiful blue eyes. Must be one of the locals cat. He was very tame and friendly, but hungry.

Samson eating some grilled bratwurst.

What a happy kitty. Charlie saw me with him and said "no, he stays here." Does he know me or what?? It was a great night, we left about 11:30p.m. and got home around midnight. We have got to go back there more.

South Plains Fair

For the last two years in September, Charlie and I have gone to the fair with our good friends, the Cards. This year, I brought the camera. We had a lot of fun. We sampled, Roasted turkey legs, roasted corn on the cob, funnel cake and corndogs. We left with over full tummies, but happy mouths.

Left to right is Lealand, Lisa, Charlie and Brenden Rayce is in the stroller.

This is the Pork Chop Review, a very cute show involving highly trained pigs.
